Revitalization and Renewal of the Town of Velké Němčice
Slámová, Nikola ; Hýl, Michal (referee) ; Havliš, Karel (advisor)
The diploma thesis follows up the design of a senior-housing building in a small town called Velké Němčice. The design project was preceded by the creation of “Strategic Plan for the Sustainability and Possible Development of the Residency” in the form of a book publication based on analyzes, research of the area and discussion with the members of the city council. According to this publication several specific topics were created for more detailed elaboration. The solution of senior-housing belongs among the other goals of Velké Němčice town since as other small towns in Czech Republic they face the same problem of an aging population. As a part of a project there were selected various potential locations for senior-housing buildings and possible forms of these facilities were considered. The selected plot is located in the very center of the town nearby school, football field and also residential area. It was necessary to work with these aspects in order to achieve the best result both for seniors and for town residents. The building design is intended for self-sufficient seniors who still want to be part of social interaction both with town residents and with the younger generation. In a case of reduced mobility the apartments are designed in a way that can be easily modified and seniors do not need to move to another location. Common areas (indoor and outdoor) are used for recreation of all residents of the house including meetings with relatives and close friends. The outer part of the residency serves as a space where the process of socialization takes place the most. The pre-diploma thesis was developed in a group as a team-work and this cooperation also continued during the individual assignment of diploma theses. The common goal of all collaborators is to improve the environment of the town and life in it itself.
Fingerprints Generator
Chaloupka, Radek ; Orság, Filip (referee) ; Drahanský, Martin (advisor)
Algorithms for fingerprints recognition are already known for long time and there is also an effort for their best optimization. This master's thesis is dealing with an opposite approach, where the fingerprints are not being recognized, but are generated on the minutiae position basis. Such algorithm is then free of the minutiae detection from image and enhancements of fingerprints. Results of this work are the synthetic images generated according to few given parameters, especially minutiae.
Inspection authorities of nuclear safety in the world and their purpose
Dvořák, Aleš ; Nerud, Pavel (referee) ; Šen, Hugo (advisor)
This thesis deals with issues of nuclear safety. The first section provides an overview of international organizations and associations, which control via their activities all regulations concerning nuclear safety, the technical state of equipments and systems in nuclear power plants. The second part deals with technical description of important equipment and systems of the nuclear powerplants at chosen nuclear reactors of II. and III. generation. The last part explains the conception of nuclear safety deeply. The reader can gain a deep overview of the different levels of protection and attention is also paid to the methods that contribute to the evaluation of nuclear safety.
Implementation and Visualization of Classic Genetic Algorithm Using Metropolis Algorithm
Matula, Radek ; Jaroš, Jiří (referee) ; Ohlídal, Miloš (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis contains description of utilisation genetic and Metropolis algorithm to solution the Traveling Salesman Problem (TSP). Thesis describes process of development aplication POC and explains problems with adjusting parameters of algorithm.
Genetic Algorithm Design for Distribution Network Outfits Optimalization
Ondruš, Tomáš ; Skala, Petr (referee) ; Paar, Martin (advisor)
The work deals with genetic algorithms and their potential use in application software to optimize high voltage switching elements of distribution network. Theoretical part explains the basic concepts of genetic algorithms such as a gene, population and chromosome and basic principles of the development of genetic algorithms.. The main task of the thesis is to design the algorithm that will simulate the distribution of the sectionalizers by telecontrolled section switches or reclosers and analyze how to set the the parameters affecting the convergence speed of genetic algorithm. The basic parameters affecting the convergence of breeding, mutation probability, population size or using of elitism. The second goal is finding a suitable set of input parameters for the selected population sizes without and with using elitism. The results of the work determine the most appropriate settings for each generation and determining the approximate number of generations needed to find the best solution. The genetic algorithm applocation was tested on a less extensive distribution network with six switching elements
Evolutionary algorithms
Haupt, Daniel ; Polách, Petr (referee) ; Honzík, Petr (advisor)
The first part of this work deals with the optimization and evolutionary algorithms which are used as a tool to solve complex optimization problems. The discussed algorithms are Differential Evolution, Genetic Algorithm, Simulated Annealing and deterministic non-evolutionary algorithm Taboo Search.. Consequently the discussion is held on the issue of testing the optimization algorithms through the use of the test function gallery and comparison solution all algorithms on Travelling salesman problem. In the second part of this work all above mentioned optimization algorithms are tested on 11 test functions and on three models of placement cities in Travelling salesman problem. Firstly, the experiments are carried out with unlimited number of accesses to the fitness function and secondly with limited number of accesses to the fitness function. All the data are processed statistically and graphically.
Sector coupling and the future form of the electricity and gas sectors
Švéda, Miroslav ; MA, Martin Šik, (referee) ; Radil, Lukáš (advisor)
This thesis deals with Sector coupling problematics. First, it deals with the development and present situation in the generation and consumption of electric power and the development and present situation in the extraction and consumption of natural gas in the Czech Republic and in the European union. Further, the thesis deals with Sector coupling, this concept is explained, and it is adumbrated what questions it deals with. Then, the technologies that can be achieved in the future of Sector coupling are introduced. Pilot projects of these technologies are presented as part of the discussion about these technologies. Finally, a consideration of the future use of Sector coupling technologies in the Czech Republic is given.
Questions of the firm culture in construction company
Schenková, Kristýna ; Čáp, Jan (referee) ; Linkeschová, Dana (advisor)
This thesis examines issues of corporate culture in the construction company. In the theoretical part are explained basic concepts that are related to the topic of the thesis. The aim of thesis is to define the most important issues of corporate culture and to find answers to them. The result is to formulate conclusions and recommendations, compiled on the basis of the results of the survey and structured interviews.
Application generating and verifying configurations of network devices
Korček, Juraj ; Tyrala, Radek (referee) ; Jeřábek, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this master's thesis is a design and implementation of a program for finding security and operational deficiencies of network devices and afterwards, resolving them by generating corrective configuration. Due to a lack of security and misconfiguration, there are a lot of devices exposed to the risk of a security incident. Therefore, the program compares settings with various standards, recommendations, and best practices and generates a report with findings. Afterwards, deficiencies can be eliminated by automatic resolution or manually if automatic resolving is not possible. The program uses regular expressions to find problem settings in previously exported configurations. Implementation is written in Python, and YAML markup language is used too. Another output of this thesis is a checklist, which can be used for the creation of future modules for support of other network device vendors and thus extend the program.
Modeling of physical phenomena in semiconductors
Pálka, Mário ; Frk, Martin (referee) ; Rozsívalová, Zdenka (advisor)
This work deals with properties and physical phenomena occurring in semiconductor materials. In details are described generation - recombination processes in a state of thermodynamic disequilibrium. The output of work is a software application simulating waveforms of energy levels in the band's own models and impurity semiconductors, depending on the type of semiconductor, impurities concentration and temperature. Finally, the processed virtual lab experiment deliverable in the educational process.
